Summer and her Pals

Summer loves when her friends come over to play. Here are a few pics and her playing with Logan (2 months) and Paige (9 months). They both live on our street. Watch out Santee Pass these guys are going to be TROUBLE! And of course Austin loves watching all of the babies play. He is holding his hands in the last picture because he know we are about to say No, No, Austin.

Pray for Baby Cohen

Cohen is home!!! Thank you for all of your prayers.
The hospital has ruled out that Cohen does not have meningitis.
All they say is it was a severe viral infection.

Hello All, Please put my cousin Jackie's baby on your prayer list. He is two months old. The following are e-mails Aunt Rosemary has been sending.

Monday-They admitted Cohen to the hospital yesterday. His blood work showed something wrong with his white blood count so they had to do a spinal tap. Those test results will not be available for 48 hours. Jackie had taken him to the doctor last Thursday for his two month injections. He has not been the same since, crying and running a temperature.

Tuesday-The second spinal tap will not reach the 48 hour culture until midnight tonight. His fever is still spiking. They took some type of nose swab this morning to check on a viral infection. He only takes about 2 ounces of formula. He will not be able to leave the hospital until the culture comes back and he has to be taking at least 4 ounces of formula.

She has two other children that are staying with their Grandma (Aunt Edna Mae). We need to pray for her as well.

Best Friends

Austin and Summer love playing together. It has been nice because she can sit in the Bumbo and watch him play. They have a blast in the tub-Summer only stays in for the first part so Austin can enjoy his favorite part of the day. The last picture she is sitting in his toy tub!

I took the kids to get their pictures made before the summer was over. Since it was in a studio Austin could get away really quick so that was interesting. Summer pulled on her shirt the whole time and wanted to sit and suck her thumb. Welcome to my circus. It was hard to choose which ones I wanted to share because they took 77 shots. Here are some I love!

Hard Work

Austin got to help Uncle B and Daddy work on the truck today. He loved being able to spend some time with just the boys. Uncle B said he was more help than Daddy. HAHA

Family Vacation

We went to Padre Island with Grandma, Papaw and the gang. It was so much fun. Austin loved the hotel, beach and pool. Summer spent her time sleeping on the beach and by the pool.

Summer's Baby

This is Summer's new thing. I'm cool mom don't worry about me.
This was so funny I was getting her dressed and I had to roll her over to do the button on the back. Of course I was distracted and when I came back she was asleep.

OK so I am not sure why this line is showing up I wanted you to see Austin's new table. One of his goals in therapy is to sit and play for at least five minutes and play appropriately. So far he can do it. The third picture cracks me up because they are both so excited. Oh and guess what I put the table together all by myself!

Pics and Praises!

I just wanted to share some pictures and let you know how well Austin is doing in therapy. PRAISES-Last week during occupational therapy he sat and played with toys the right way which for him is a BIG deal. Today during physical therapy he pulled his walker around the whole house. We are so proud of the improvements he is making. Last week he went into Nanny Black's house and played without any tears or getting scared. And my last praise is Dee-Dee Austin's babysitter from last year had two openings so she will be able to keep both kids.
Prayer Request-That Summer will take a bottle I only have six more weeks to work on this

Swimming with Nanny

Nanny came and spent the weekend with us. We had a great visit. Austin and Summer love spending time with their Nanny.
And yes Jody I finally got Summer a bathing suit.

Tradition

When Michelle was a baby (that is my oldest sister) she took a picture in this dress. Mom saved it for all of her girls and it has become the three month old picture dress. It is so cool that mom has saved so much from our past. We can go into the play room at her house and relive our childhood because all the Fisher Price people and the houses are still there as well as the barbies and many other toys and books. My classroom library at school is full of books that have Jennifer and Ashley written on the inside cover. It cracks me up when my kids will ask Mrs. Black who is Ashley because she wrote in this book. I am so thankful to have all of these things. Thank you mom! (and dad for letting her store it all at the house) Summer did really good during the pictures the first pose is the one I ordered.
