Austin's Army is Amazing

Every year we are amazed by how many people love and support Austin.
This year our Army was 100 strong and we raised $1,207!!
Whether you donated, came to walk or did both-we are truly grateful for you.
Austin says thank you very much.
We are looking forward to next year.

Summer's Big Night

Last Friday Summer's gymnastics had family night and awards.  We were able to go on the floor with Summer and see all she has learned this session.  She is doing awesome!!!!!  Summer started gymnastics last June and has moved up to the red group which is the third level in preschool.
She had so much fun and enjoyed showing off for us.

The kids spent the whole weekend in our backyard.
They make me laugh with their dirty faces, crazy hair and of course puppy scratches!

Special Olympics

Friday was Challenge Day for all of the Tomball schools. We look forward to this day. Austin, his teachers and therapists work hard on the events all year. This year they had the cheerleaders and band there--Summer and Luke loved that part. Summer got to cheer with the cheerleaders and Luke loves anything with music so they both had a great time.

We were very proud of Austin and how well he did. Austin was happy to see his Grandma, Paw-Paw, Aunt Rosemary and even Trista his bus aide. (we had a big cheering section)

As each school was introduced I saw two boys walking with Austin wearing Austin's Army shirts. I couldn't believe it . They were Ms. Jerri's sons (Austin's PPCD teacher) They had come over from the high school to spend the day with Austin. It made my day!!!!!!

Easter Pictures

We started out Easter weekend with the neighborhood Easter egg hunt.  I took Summer and Luke and they had fun looking for eggs.  On Sunday the Easter bunny stopped by our house before we went to church.  Church was so nice and the message was powerful.  Unfortunately we had to leave early because Austin got stung several times by a wasp during the JOY care Easter Egg hunt.  Luckily he did not have a reaction just a swollen face and hand.  Grandma, Paw-paw and Aunt Rosemary came over for lunch and more egg hunting.  We tried to take a family picture but it was pretty hard.  I should post all the out takes.  (but I can't do that to Chad or myself)
Hope you had a happy Easter!

Summer is quite the photographer these days and after looking through the 47 pictures she took in one minute. I found three that cracked me up.
