Silly Girl and Hurt Boy

Summer is too funny. Here are just a few ways she makes us laugh.

Yes it is a potty seat and Austin was chasing her around the room.

Putting on make up while I loaded the car for school.

That is lipstick, blush and eye shadow.

She had no idea the lettuce was in her hair. Check out her face that is a Ranch dressing allergy!

Austin fell at school and hit his chin and face on a table. He hit so hard he had a seizure. I picked him up from school because he was upset. It just happened today and he seems to be doing fine. He just keeps moving his jaw around. I am sure it is very sore. Poor Baby :(

P-E-A-R-L-A-N-D Oilers

Today we took the kids to see the Oilers play football. The game was at Reliant so Chad wanted to take the kids. Summer loved the half time show and watching the cheerleaders. Austin did not like sitting in his chair so I let him run around and he had a blast and met a ton of people.

I finally made it into a picture

Austin's First Day

Austin's first day went great! He is now going to school in the afternoon. So I had to take these pictures the night before. I send him in play clothes to daycare and after lunch they get him ready for school and put him on the bus. So far he seems to be doing fine and is already back in the mode walking around the house with his hands behind his back. Awesome news-Austin can now bend down, pick something up and stand back up. It is so cool to watch and I have tried 100 times to get it on video-he does it right after I stop recording.
Let's go now mom.
Big Boy!

Hands behind his back :)

A Day At The Museum

On Tuesday we went to the Children's Museum with Aunt Nini and Isaac.
We enjoyed getting the kids together.
They enjoyed all the toys, playing outside and the gift shop.
Riding in the car
Of course a toy in the mouth
Summer guarding the door-she had a hard time sharing
Isaac loved crawling around the Tot Spot
Mommy and Summer's puppet show
Our energetic audience
Thanks Aunt Nini for taking the pictures and helping out with my crazy crew.

Summer the gymnast

Monday was Summer's last day of gymnastics. I had a great time taking this class with her. The coach was awesome and even let Austin sit in the class so he did not have to go to the childcare. It took Summer a little while to warm up but she would do anything for a stamp or Tootsie Roll.

Austin Loves the Bus

Austin's had his last day of school on Thursday. Now he has to wait until the 24th to ride his favorite transportation again. By the end of summer he would wait at the door listening for the bus. All I would do was open the door and he would go straight to the bus of course flapping his arms and laughing all the way down the driveway. He is doing really well with the stairs going up and down. He had the nicest bus driver this year and he loved seeing her.
Going up the stairs.
Saying good morning to his aide.
Ready to go!
Trying to get a pic of him from the window

She is so big!

We are so proud of Summer she is officially a big girl. No more diapers!
Two of my goals this summer were potty train and get both kids off the nap/bed time bottle. (yes I know it was way overdue but it was much harder than I thought) They are both doing great without their bottles. Summer is so funny instead of saying I have to go potty she says-
I am going to ____ in my panties. We will have to work on that. Yesterday she even told us while we were in the car and she used her first public restroom.
Brand new baby

Smile!

You know I have been in the house for to long when I dress the kids and take pictures of them twice in one day. We are going on day three of Chad's truck being in the shop so the kids and I are homebound. I thought the pictures turned out cute. Enjoy!

Bowling

Last Friday we took the kids bowling for the first time. They only lasted about fifteen minutes but it was fun. Austin really liked the arcade games and Summer was excited about wearing the bowling shoes.
Summer won with a score of 109.

(he wanted to run down the lane after the ball)

Our Movie Adventure

I had heard about a local movie theatre running old movies for free this summer. This was the last week they were doing it so I decided to take the kids to see Bee movie. We got there thirty minutes early thinking that would be enough time. As I got Austin out of the car I could see a stream of moms and kids going back to their cars. It was sold out by 9 this morning. Well Summer was not going to understand that so I went to see what else was playing. After looking I realized I did not want to pay just in case they did not want to stay. As we were walking off a lady came from inside the theatre and said she had two extra tickets and we could have them. Score!!! I wanted to hug her. They did perfect and watched the whole movie. It was a great experience and I was very proud of both kids.
When I went to take their picture I found out my camera card was at home so no pictures this time.
But hey with these two crazier things could have happened so I will be fine!

A Day At The Beach

Mom and Dad rented a condo in Galveston this week. So on Monday I took the kids to play. This was a first for both Austin and Summer. Austin loved the beach and Summer wanted nothing to do with it. Luckily there was a pool so we spent our time there. After lunch we went swimming again and noticed they were draining the pool. The kids loved this because everyone could stand up. I found a great little swimming device for Austin and he covered the whole pool by himself even when it was full. I was glad I made the trip and the kids had fun playing with their cousins.
