Luke turns 3!

This year we decided not to throw Luke a birthday party and I am glad we did since we found out he does not like the attention or hearing the song.  :) When Nanny and the gang were in town we had a cake and opened presents.  Luke hid during the cake. We went the weekend before his big day and played putt-putt. On his birthday he spent the day at Pa's house with Nanny Black.  (his second home) And this past weekend Grandma and Paw-Paw came out to party.  After 3 celebrations he finally got the hang of it.

Here are some pics from all his celebrations.

Water Slide with Isaac!

A day of putt-putt!

Fun with Grandma's chocolate cake that almost didn't survive the car ride.

What 3 year old doesn't need a convertible to match his Uncle B's?

Summer and Moose

Summer started horseback riding this week.  She was nervous at first but has a great instructor who made the lesson a perfect experience for her.  During the hour lessons Summer will learn how to care for her horse, all the correct terminology and  how to saddle and ride her horse. When she came out to ride you would have thought she has been doing it forever.
She can't wait to go back next week.

Mud Dash

On Saturday Chad and his friends competed in the 5K Mighty Mud Dash. Their team name was The Dirty Dozen but since only 5 signed up we wrote ish on their shirts after dozen.   It was fun to watch and I am glad I did not sign up because I would have had to quit.  It looked hard.  The guys had fun and can't wait to do it again.  Their next adventure is Running With The Bulls in December.

Top Golf and Shell Houston Open

Over Spring Break we took the kids to Top Golf and had a fun time.  We were on the second level and Luke loved hitting the golf ball.  Summer and I really enjoyed all the yummy food they served.

On Friday Luke got to go to the Shell Houston Open with Daddy and Paw-Paw.  They got to see everyone they wanted and were pretty sure they had walked 10 miles by the time they were done.  Luke loved seeing Phil or as Luke calls him Pill.  He kept saying he has on a white hat just like my shirt.  Luke really wanted to see Tiger but he will have to travel for that one since Tiger does not come to Houston.

Here are some pictures from both adventures.

Summer's Tea Party

For Summer's 6th birthday she wanted to have a tea party at a local tea room.  She had a great time and loved all the attention.  First they got to dress up which they were not to thrilled about.  This was the type of dress up we did as kids not princess dress up like the girls do today.  Some of the girls went with it but not Summer.  Then they got their nails painted and a little make up before they had lunch with their very own tea pot.  She got tons of presents and hasn't stopped playing with them. She is still talking about how much fun she had.  Her birthday was Thursday so Chad and I met her for lunch and had cupcakes for the class.  On Friday Grandma took her to the American Girl Store and Bistro-pics coming soon.

Summer you make us super proud.
We love you!
