Isaac came to play

On Saturday Isaac came over to play so his mommy and daddy could go to a dinner party. Summer was so excited and so were Chad and I. It is fun to have a baby around and it helps me get my baby fix. I promise Austin was here that night but we took these pics while he was taking his hour long bath.

Fun in the Sun

We have enjoyed playing in our new slide this summer. It is much easier than taking these two crazy children to the pool. It has been so nice to be home with Austin and Summer. I look forward to all of our fun activities. Tomorrow we are going to the zoo. Next week we are going to Sea World and Summer starts gymnastics and music.
Austin will start summer school on the 29th.

Say A Prayer

Please say a prayer for my Nana. She fell and broke her hip today and will have surgery in the morning.
Nana we love you and know that God is in control.

Summer's First Astros Game

On Sunday we took Summer to see the Astros play. We enjoyed our time alone with her and I discovered she is a people watcher just like her daddy. We let her buy a baseball from the gift shop and she made sure that Austin got one too.
Thanks Grandma and Pa-Pa for watching Austin. (Austin got to go the zoo)
And thanks for letting both of them spend the night.

So excited to go in the game
Astros are #1
Our seats were great-11th row
Summer thought the cut outs were so funny
Catching a foul ball
And yes Summer is very afraid of mascots. Check out what she was doing to Chad as she screamed and then held her breath!

Austin's Army is Awesome!

Austin's Army 2009 was a huge success thanks to all of you. First of all we exceeded our goal-$1,640 was given to the foundation. So many friends and family were their to support Austin and it meant so much to us. Check out our new shirts. This year we were blessed to have matching shirts for everyone. Kim, thank you for donating the shirts. They are something we will cherish forever. Another thank you to mom, Aunt Rosemary and Nanny Black for providing a wonderful lunch for the Army. It was delicious!

Go Austin Go!

This was my favorite event. It makes me cry every time I watch it.
FUNNY STORY-I just watched it again and saw the end for the first time. My comment is perfect for Chad! ( I am so mean-always thinking about the blog)

One Video is Working

This is his first event. It was a race. Remember Chad films a while after the race. I will post the relay race later today.

New Pictures

On Sunday we took the kids to have their birthday pictures made. I like using the number blocks and every year I get a really neat profile picture of them. This time Austin was great and Summer cried. She was really excited when we got there but after the first shot she started crying. We were able to get some great shots and check out the last one! That sums these two up! (don't worry I did not order it)

New Beds

Do you remember the post Our Big Girl? Since that post Summer has not slept through the night or slept in her toddler bed. Just in case you are wondering that was January 11.
I am sure if you read this blog you know Summer rules the Black house so putting her in bed and letting her cry was out of the question and Austin sleeps so great we didn't want her to wake him up in the middle of the night. So our next plan was to get her a bigger bed and it worked! She is still waking up during the night but she is out of our bed.(praise God)
Here is a picture I took of her the first night in her bed.

Austin did not get a new bed. But I did make some changes. Austin will always need a bed where he can be contained. He is still in his crib but loves to jump. I was afraid it would not be long before he jumped out. So I took the metal part out of the crib and put the mattress on the floor. It worked out great and hopefully will get us through two more years. Here is his new set up.

So Proud of Our Boy

Austin had the chance to compete in the Special Olympics last Friday. He blew us away! His class has been working on certain skills since the first day of school. This was their chance to show off and Austin sure did. I will have to post the videos on YouTube because Chad was so proud he recorded the whole time. But it is something you have to see!

Why you can't let Austin out of your sight.

That is his Easter basket from school, mail and laundry that he discovered!

Sunday Easter Celebration

On Sunday we went to Grandma and Pa-Paw's house for Easter. Austin and Summer love going over to their house and playing with their cousins. We had fun hunting Easter eggs and I realized how grown Watson and Lauren are when they wanted to hide the eggs and not look for them. All the eggs had change hidden in them. When we got home Summer sat in the kitchen and added her change to her piggy bank. Hope everyone had a nice Easter.
I love this picture.
