New Pictures

On Sunday we took the kids to have their birthday pictures made. I like using the number blocks and every year I get a really neat profile picture of them. This time Austin was great and Summer cried. She was really excited when we got there but after the first shot she started crying. We were able to get some great shots and check out the last one! That sums these two up! (don't worry I did not order it)

New Beds

Do you remember the post Our Big Girl? Since that post Summer has not slept through the night or slept in her toddler bed. Just in case you are wondering that was January 11.
I am sure if you read this blog you know Summer rules the Black house so putting her in bed and letting her cry was out of the question and Austin sleeps so great we didn't want her to wake him up in the middle of the night. So our next plan was to get her a bigger bed and it worked! She is still waking up during the night but she is out of our bed.(praise God)
Here is a picture I took of her the first night in her bed.

Austin did not get a new bed. But I did make some changes. Austin will always need a bed where he can be contained. He is still in his crib but loves to jump. I was afraid it would not be long before he jumped out. So I took the metal part out of the crib and put the mattress on the floor. It worked out great and hopefully will get us through two more years. Here is his new set up.

So Proud of Our Boy

Austin had the chance to compete in the Special Olympics last Friday. He blew us away! His class has been working on certain skills since the first day of school. This was their chance to show off and Austin sure did. I will have to post the videos on YouTube because Chad was so proud he recorded the whole time. But it is something you have to see!

Why you can't let Austin out of your sight.

That is his Easter basket from school, mail and laundry that he discovered!

Sunday Easter Celebration

On Sunday we went to Grandma and Pa-Paw's house for Easter. Austin and Summer love going over to their house and playing with their cousins. We had fun hunting Easter eggs and I realized how grown Watson and Lauren are when they wanted to hide the eggs and not look for them. All the eggs had change hidden in them. When we got home Summer sat in the kitchen and added her change to her piggy bank. Hope everyone had a nice Easter.
I love this picture.

Easter Celebration

Last Saturday we celebrated Easter with Pa Black and Chad's brothers. We had an Easter egg hunt, grilled hamburgers and dyed Easter eggs. It was so nice to spend time with family. The kids enjoyed the company. Summer loved having her Isaac over to play. And she loves playing with Hannah and Haley. Since they are older she is very shy and quiet so it is a nice change for us.
Getting a love from Pa
Summer found one
Austin did too!
Eating her chocolate treats before anyone could stop her
Looking for the last egg-wonder who hid it in Carrie's hood????
Uncle A and Isaac found one
Yes Isaac had to try out the swing-don't worry he did not go over the fence
Trying to get a picture of both kids
Look how serious all the girls are!

Daddy's New Creation

Chad set this swing up yesterday in the backyard. It is awesome! The kids had so much fun swinging on it. Now we just need another one so we don't have to keep hearing Summer's turn while Austin is swinging.

A Fun Field Trip

Austin's class went on a field trip on Friday. We all went and had a great time. Austin walked the whole time and loved the animals. Summer was so excited she loved naming all the animals and making their sounds. His class had a picnic and Austin sat and ate perfect at the table.

Happy Birthday Austin and Summer!

This year the kids birthday party theme was circus. We had a wonderful time with our family and friends. We served circus food-hot dogs, pop corn, cotton candy. Michelle made her famous cupcakes and the kids loved them. Mom bought cake balls which if you have never had them they are awesome!

I booked a clown and it was the perfect entertainment for the kids. Her name is Honey Dew and she does it all. Magic, face painting, balloons and prizes. She even brought her ferret along for the fun.
Here is her website http://www.funkidparties.com/

We waited until Sunday to open presents. The kids got some really neat toys and their closets are now ready for summer.

I can't believe it has been four years since we met are precious angel. He is truly an amazing little boy and we are so happy God chose us to be his parents.

Summer is turning into such a big girl and helper. She loves Austin so much and has her daddy's personality.

Three was a breeze!

I found these pictures on my camera that I had forgotten about. One Saturday we were able to keep Isaac for Selene while she worked for her internship. I was pretty nervous-but all went well. At one point Summer watched a movie, Isaac took a nap and Austin played in his room. (Which meant I got to take a shower)

We enjoyed playing with Isaac. I am so glad they are all living here now.

Another Steelers Victory

What a game! We had a blast cheering on the Steelers. The kids loved playing with their friends Logan and Brayden and enjoyed all of the excitement. Looking forward to ring number seven.
